Set up the local investigation tools
REA runs on macOS and supported Linux. Install Node.js 22.19+, 24.11+, or 26+, then run these commands locally:
npm install --global rea-agents@4.0.1 rea setup rea doctor --json
Review the changes shown by setup and restart your agent and Unpack helper. Native analysis needs compatible Ghidra or Hopper. JavaScript/Electron static analysis can run without them. Windows REA support is currently unavailable.
Full REA MCP tools let your agent continue from the overview. No software or agent configuration is installed by this page.
